I made a Bioshock Reshade
Confession: I've never beaten Bioshock. Yes, I know.
Something always seemed to get in the way. I remember making it through 5 levels on my old 6600GT Nvidia card... But I'd lose interest or life would get in the way. Anyway, I've recently gotten around to playing it again and am having a blast with all the emergent stuff. I decided that the game could look good with a reshade. Initially I went the same route as my Shadow of Mordor preset by muting some colours and adding some tones along with lighting tweaks, but it looked horrible. The game's existing post-processing and pre-baked lighting just doesn't play well with that kind of tweaking. So I took a hammer to the whole thing and aimed for a completely new look.
This one evokes a much more dreadful colour scheme which tries to make you feel like you're in an underwater locale. There's also heavy inspiration from 50's noir and media in there if you can take the time to appreciate it.
Purists: I am not trying to replace the original look, but rather adding a new way to play the game. This is my take on visual narrative for this awesome game. If you have any feedback, tweet it to me: @harharharris
